There is My Preview
If I like it click apply
Then right click the

The operation
Then click the save
Box.
What Am I Going To Do
I will create a geometry object to hold
3D solids to represent my shafts.
I will activate my template editor and set
up a template for my shafts
I will then create a solid and use the
template and center line of the shaft to
place it.
MineSight allows
Any user chosen
Directory structure
And we are working
With one I have
Built ahead of time
Ill type in a
Name
(I chose
Production shaft)
Then I left click
ok
You want to be
Careful of which
Box is open.
Many people
Make mistakes
Putting their
Drawing features
In the wrong
Storage box.
Left Click on
3Dxcuts
(it turns blue)
Commentary
Older practices had
Im in a plan
view
I will accomplish
This with an edit
Grid and volume
Clipping.
I highlight and
Click the plan
View development
Grid
(yes I made the
Grids previously
But that is
Another story)
I click Ok to
Link the grid to my
View window
plane elevation showing and a little blue box that allows me to choose the
elevation of my reference plane)
Lets left click that
Blue box
(I we choose
A reference plane
At 6650 which
Just happens to
Be the elevation
Of my highest
Shaft station and
The level I will
Start the ramp)
To do this I will
Use a snap mode
(A snap mode tells
The computer to
Lock onto objects
That are close to
Where I click)
Left click on the
Snap heading to
Bring down a menu
Move the curser
Over point snap
(it turns blue) Now
Left Click it
What Am I Up to
Im going to create the level part of the
ramp on the level below so I will know
exactly where I am going
I could continue my ramp down but then Id
have to be doing calculations on the side to
make sure I hit where I wanted to on the
next level (and Im lazy and would rather
have the computer make sure I end up in the
right place)
Im going to want to
Hit the level below
A little further back
(otherwise I will hit
The turn outs onto
The footwall haulage
And I might run into
The ore pass
You remember
I left clicked the
Little blue plane
Selection icon
And then left
Clicked 6650
From the list of
Choices that
Came up
The orebody is
About 30 to 50 feet
Thick
I juts out to the north
As one goes down
From the 6650 to
The 6550 level
It is about 420 feet
From the end of the
Orebody to the center
If I go for 2 stopes
I will want them
About 200 feet long
My Game Plan
Ill run a cross-cut from my footwall haulage
over to my ore body
Then Ill run a wide drill drift over the top of my
stoping area
Ill do both these things by creating center lines
and then attaching templates for 3D
To keep my center lines centered I will use a special
curser
I bet you
See I
Changed my background color
Notice my curser
Is mapping out
For me how far
I am from the edge
As I digitize in
My centerline
Ok yellow is
Not the best
Color choice
On white
Rotate to look
From the side
This looks good.
I picked a template
10 feet wide at
The bottom, about
40 feet wide at
The top a 30 feet
high
I guess
Drawpoint 1
Stope 1 is not
Very original
More Expectations
Put in Drill Drifts for 4 stopes on the 6650 level
Take a screen shot of your handiwork
