Founded: Cisco was founded in 1984
by a group of computer scientists from
Stanford University.
Incorporation: Cisco was incorporated
on December 10, 1984 in California.
One of the leading manufacturers
of network equipment. Cisco's primary
business is in internetworking products,
such as routers, bridges, and switches,
VOIP solution, security solutions.
Head- quartered in San Jose,
California. CCNA targets a wide
audience of both students and
professionals in IT and computer
science background

Course Objectives
The course is a focused coverage of the CCNA exam
objectives as outlined on the Cisco website
(www.cisco.com).
A foundation for learning is provided by an intense
presentation of networking principles, the OSI model and
TCP/IP.
Students will be presented the essential knowledge to
configure and operate basic switched LANs and routed
WANs.
The Cisco IOS , as it relates to both routers and switches,
will be examined and practiced through a variety of
exercises.
