hired by KPJV as an employer.
Fabrication - planned for ERSAI only.

- According the RoK Legislation - Technical Supervision
run by client(TCO). At the moment, KPJV Technical
Supervision inspectors are executing this role under
old strategy ( Construction Management contractor),
changes in contracts between TCO and KPJV might
impact for this practice.

Technical Supervision on Fabrication Yards

Technical supervision. i.e. construction control is there for the Client to be

confident that construction and installation works are performed with good quality.

Considering that our project is a modularized construction, where majority of the

process/power/other facilities wrapped in module structure documentation of
Technical Supervision from Fab yards will key for Main plants turnover facility
acceptance.
Company need the ensure that Fabricator Contractor is strict compliance with
approved design /calculations and comply with requirements of executive documents
(such as Method Statements and procedures) defining execution of fabrication and
installation works.

integrate the team.
Disadvantages: difficulties with manpower flexibility,
need different Inspectors for different scope ( Civil,

Disadvantages: contracting processes are greatly

team might be challenge.
Advantages: flexibility with recourses and no impact to the
current Tengiz infrastructure scope.

Plan for Technical Supervision on Fabrication

For the Fabrication scope is recommended to contract the
company(3) with similar experience, based on:
require enormous amount of the man-hours on the pick works spend
by Technical Supervision comply the RoK regulation and less in the end.
fabrication scope are require inspectors with specific skills and
experience.

To cover early stages of the GE scope I recommend to hire ( TCO

direct/CER) till new contractor mobilise to yard.
The vast majority of the Technical Supervision inspectors in
Kazakhstan is only Russian/kazakh speaking, therefore
recommended to integrate Technical Supervision team with Fab
RA.
