THERMAL IMAGING
HUMAN AFFECTIVE
STATE DETECTION
Introduction
Then,it has been used to detect human features and identify different signals
emitted from naked human parts such as face, neck, arms and so on.
Different region of interest of the face were selected based on the most
sensitive part where larger changes of temperature are recorded.
Experiment Flow
Room must be very quiet with temperature and humidity had been controlled.
Analysis
Exhaled air warmer because of the heat exchange between the inhaled
air,lungs, and the passage way.
Application
Developed thermal imaging to enhance vision during the Korean War to detect
enemy object during nighttime.
Humans or animals is warm object easily stand out from rather than cooler
backgrounds
The cancer will have spread when its time it diagnosed and if detected early
enough the 5 year survival rate for breast cancer is 98%
Common mammograms include two x-rays of each breast taken from different
angles and its a computerized x-ray of the breast
Advantages
Thermal imaging are usefull to driver to detect whether they lost attention
while driving.
It can differentiate between truth and lies because it will reveal our
emotionin subtle chnge of expression.
Disadvantages
Camera must might not work well on adim light environment, thus it hard to
detect the expression on human face.
Then, some of the subject mught have experience fever and others are not.
This will influence the result
Thermal energy can also be reflected off of shiny object for example
glass,polished metal ,and etc
Conclusion
We can know the affective or emotion by the extraction, the heart beat rate,
temperature and the breathing of the subject
