easypaisa Mobile Accounts

A Refresher
What is a Mobile Account?
 For the first time in Pakistan, easypaisa introduces Mobile Accounts
which are bank accounts that can be opened for Telenor subscribers
to access from their mobile phones at any time

 Users only have to go to an easypaisa shop to ‘Deposit Cash’ or

‘Withdraw Cash’ from their easypaisa Mobile Account. All other
services can be accessed on the user’s mobile phone at any time

 This service is available for only Telenor subscribers

 Registration is only available only at Telenor SSCs, Telenor Franchises

and Tameer Bank Branches
What is the value of a Mobile Account?
 Less than 20% of the people in Pakistan do not have Bank Accounts
 Only 7000 bank branches in Pakistan for 170 million people!
 Most people in Pakistan do not meet the minimum requirements to open a Bank
Account
 Most Bank Accounts have minimum balance limits
 Most Bank Accounts have hidden charges

 Easypaisa Mobile Account is a bank account on your mobile phone. You have
24/7 access to this bank account and you can deposit and withdraw money
into your Mobile Account from over 5,500 easypaisa shops all over Pakistan
(most cities have more easypaisa shops than bank branches already)
 You can now pay your Utility Bills and send money to people from your Mobile
Account at any time from any where. No need to leave your house!
 Transactions on Mobile Accounts are instant and secure. You have a 5 digit PIN
for all transactions and nothing can happen to your bank account if your
mobile is lost/stolen.
How are Mobile Accounts different from
Money Transfer and Utility Bill Payment?
 For the existing Money Transfer or Utility Bill services, a person has to go to
the nearest easypaisa shop
 With Mobile Accounts, any Telenor subscriber can send/receive money or pay their Utility
Bills directly from their mobile phone
 Even existing easypaisa shops are not open 24/7 while a Mobile Account can be accessed
and used at anytime, any where

 Paying Utility Bills and Money Transfer from an easypaisa shop is more
expensive than paying a Utility Bill or sending Money from the Mobile Account
 All Utility Bill payments from the Mobile Account cost Rs. 10 – no matter what the bill
amount is
 Sending Money from the Mobile Account costs less than Money Transfer from an easypaisa
shop
 All money sent to Mobile Accounts is instantly received and safe till a person withdraws it

 Only 3 Money Transfer transactions per month with a maximum limit of Rs.
10,000 per month
 Unlimited number of transactions on Mobile Accounts, and a bigger limit of Rs. 20,000 per
month

Customer Testimonials
 Saqib, M.Sc student at Punjab University, Lahore.
“I live in the hostels and I don’t have time to leave the campus and open a Bank Account. I don’t
have enough money to meet the minimum balance requirements for a bank account, nor do I have
references from friends or family. I opened an easypaisa Mobile Account on my Telenor SIM and I
find it extremely convenient to receive money from home. My father also has a Mobile Account
back in Sialkot, and he sends me money directly into my mobile account. I can withdraw as much
money I want from the easypaisa shop across campus which is open even till 11pm at night”

 Yasmeen, Housewife, Karachi.

“My husband opened an easypaisa Mobile Account for me and now I take care of all the household
Utility bills. I pay bills from the comfort of my home in the most convenient way. All I have to do is
deposit money into my Mobile Account whenever I have gone out for shopping. My bills are always
paid on time and my husband doesn’t have to stand in long lines at the Banks any more.”

 Muhammad Farooq, Farmer, Mansehra.

“I’ve never had a Bank Account. The nearest Bank branch is approximately 30 minutes away from
my village. Whatever savings I made used to be invested in livestock or some jewelry which I would
sell when I needed cash. With my easypaisa Mobile Account, I can finally build up my savings
without the fear of theft or worrying about the livestock or jewelry I bought. I can withdraw
money from my Mobile Account any time I want from the easypaisa shop in our village.”
