In our daily life

INTRODUCTION
For more than two thousand years, mathematics has been a part of the human search for
understanding. Mathematical discoveries have come both from the attempt to describe the
natural world and from the desire to arrive at a form of inescapable truth from careful
reasoning. These remain fruitful and important motivations for mathematical thinking, but in
the last century mathematics has been successfully applied to many other aspects of the
human world: voting trends in politics, the dating of ancient artifacts, the analysis of automobile
traffic patterns, and long-term strategies for the sustainable harvest of deciduous forests, to
mention a few. Today, mathematics as a mode of thought and expression is more valuable than
ever before. Learning to think in mathematical terms is an essential part of becoming a liberally
educated person.

Calendar
Its so important that childrens relate
math to something useful.
With the timetable the kid can
count the days and amounts.

Birthdays are the best motivation for the child

Cooking num bers

The understanding of numbers, especially
fractions and conversions play an important
role in cooking.

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking
soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup brown
sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chocolate
chips

When the child completes his recipe should

distribute correctly amounts between the
number of guests and use their ability to
divide.

The kids must know that they need to give the right amount of money
when they buy something; check that they get back the correct
change and give the correct change when you sell something.

It is important make practical games with

the child in order to learn more easily the
value of money and all they can do with it.

Tim e
Daily we need to place ourselves in time.

With time we can practice fractions

through the figure of the clock and
needles.

The child will learn to change units

while operating with numbers.

Geometry everywhere
We often see geometric figures in our daily, our mission is to give
importance and teach the child to look beyond what you see.
If a child paints a octagon we will try
to link him to the traffic signals.

GEOMETRY EVERYWHERE

Arithmetic
Arithmetic ( Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio and Proposition , Time related
problems): The word refers to a branch of mathematicswhich records elementary
properties of certain operationson numbers.
Arithmetic operations:

The traditional arithmetic operations are addition, subtraction, multiplication

anddivision, although more advanced operations (such as manipulations of
percentages, square root, exponentiation, and logarithmic functions) are also
sometimes included in this subject.

Conection hom e-school

Its very important that the child gets a good
education at home that involve the child in Math in
their daily lives, this will make that he understand and
want to know more about them.
Vocabulary is a very important part of any
lesson, so try that parents familiarize their
children with words like count, calculate, more
than, less than, half full, empty, big, small ...

Now, we propose a series of exercises that any

parent could use to educate the child in Math.

D aily exercises
1- Ask the child how many steps should be given between the table and the couch.
2- Count how many apples are there for a snack. Count the number of children at the table. If
there are 6 apples and 12 children, what should we do?
3- Art: As the children express themselves through art, they can write numbers, explore
shapes and sequences or counting the number of objects you draw.
4- Outdoor play can motivate children to explore mathematical concepts actively.
5- Any fan of dance participates in dramatic play can create your own sequence of steps
(stomp, stomp, clap, stomp, stomp, clap). Invite the children to follow the sequence, asking.
Follow!'
6- On the way to school or home, compare the buildings to see. Which building is the tallest?
What is the lowest?
7- Pay attention to the sequences of numbers in the houses they pass. Encourage your child to
predict what will result.

Conclusion
You just have to stop thinking about any action you made
throughout the day and is very easy to realize that you made
some action related to mathematics.
Maths are the base of all our life and we must teach children
from an early age, not as an enemy but as daily and familiar.
