Steps:
Complete the assessment of the people, team,
projects about once a month
Plot a curve on noise-value chart
Useful to determine a pattern that exist across the
group

To gain more insight on whats slowing you down
and whats moving you forward
To diagnose your business units weaknesses and
strengths in the four leadership practices:
affirming strategies, driving initiatives,
managing climate, and cultivating
experience.

Steps:
Profile: 5 point rating scale for twenty-five items
Specific strategic execution (initiative execution)
Organization in general (everyday execution)

Interpreting the Profile


Items with ratings 2.0 or less drag areas,
putting organization at risk and opportunities for
leaders to do better.
Items with ratings 4.0 or more lift areas,
leaders perform relatively well and supporting
strategic speed.
When lift-to-drag comparison (lift-drag) < 0
problem areas, potential drag outweighs
potential lift (< -5 serious concern)
Preliminary analysis
Look at items causing the most drag. What are
leaders doing or not doing? What is the cause of
low ratings?

Pull all the information together and select your
top-priority actions to mobilize people and
accelerate executions
