showing them leaving a gathering, drinking alcohol and doing drugs)

Spoken word poetry will occur here, where Olivia meets BOY, at 4-48am in
the park to tell her how she is still in love with him (the poem is called 448am)

Character outline

anxiety and has had previous relationship problems (friendship, family, and
romantic)

JAKE 18 years old, student, timid, technology enthusiast
AVRIL 17, student, confident, music enthusiast

Outline - whole narrative synopsis

The film shows OLIVIAs progression from her social anxiety. The beginning
shows flashbacks from her past and the bad things which have happened to
her (rejection from her father, her bad coping mechanisms to engage in
escapism). Moreover, OLIVIA has a good relationship with her mother, they
both have spoken word pieces. Furthermore, OLIVIA has a relationship with
JAKE towards the end of the film, showing her progression from her social
anxiety as before she had too many trust issues for this to occur.

Rationale

I decided to create my film as:

Unique selling point I believe that within my genre there is a gap in the
market as my film will address themes which other teen dramas do not
explore in much detail. These consist of; poetry, metal health illnesses. As
part of my secondary research I discovered that 1 in 5 people are likely to
experience a metal health illness at some point in their lives. Therefore,
believe that people should be more aware of the effects.
Educates people I aim to ensure that people, who are not currently aware
of the impact of mental illnesses, to gain an awareness.
Poetical theme there will be lots of spoken word pieces in my film.
Although arguably my film attracts a niche market, due to the unique selling
point, there is a lack of supply. Therefore, there would be a demand in the
film market for my film.

Primary research
I will conduct a questionnaire to ensure that I will satisfy my target
audience:
From this I will be able to make adjustments to ensure that my film runs
smoothly
I will conduct the questionnaire on word and attach it on the next slide, I will
use it in my treatment presentation.

Secondary research

I have searched for my primary and secondary target audience using Google
I have searched travel fees on the TFL website in case I would need to use
public transport to travel with my actors and actresses
I have conducted genre research using Google
I have analysed opening sequences of films in the teen drama genre, to
ensure my codes and conventions fit within the genre and connotes plasir
within my target audience. Furthermore, the theme of poetry breaks the
genre conventions. Therefore, will enable juisance and enables Barthes 5
code theory to occur as the audience will read an enigma code, enticing
them to watch the rest of the film.
