Small Church

Acts 2:37-39
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the
heart and said to Peter and to the other apostles,
Brothers, what should we do? Peter said to
them, Repent, and be baptized every one of
you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins
may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the
Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you, for your
children, and for all who are far away, everyone
whom the Lord our God calls to him.

Acts 2:41; 47
So those who welcomed his
message were baptized, and that day
about three thousand persons were
added.
And day by day the Lord added to
their number those who were being
saved.

 Exciting early days in the church. It was

growing BIG(Greater reach) and yet remained
small(fellowship and community)
The principle of increase is built into
EVERYTHING!
God blessed them, and God said to them,
Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and
subdue it; and have dominion Gen.1:28

For it is as if a man, going on a journey,

 God, like any good farmer, is looking for

increase, not a miracle.
Increase is relative to the seed sown not the
size of the need.
Ive never met a business man nor a farmer
who hoped for a small harvest. But everyone
knows the harvest is directly connected to the
seed sown.

 Every seed sown is small in the sense that it is

on a limited scalenot that it is insignificant.
BUT for every SMALL seed is a BIG harvest!
I did not shrink from doing anything
helpful, proclaiming the message to you
and teaching you publicly and from house
to house Acts 20:20
