Choosing the right wife

in Islam
The Prophet (saws) said :
"A woman may be married for four reasons: for her wealth, her linenage, her beauty,
and her religion commitment; so try to get one who is religious, may you be blessed.
This hadeeth was narrated by al-Bukhaari (4802) and Muslim (1466) from Abu Hurayrah
(may Allaah be pleased with him) .

Compatibility
Islam gave no recognition to class distinction, but in marriage, islam stressed upon compatibility. The marrying partners must
be Kufw of each other, so that there are no unnecessary misgivings later. It is better for a religious woman who is committed
to laws and principles to marry a man like herself.
A man questioned the Prophet of Islam (s.a.w.s.), Whom must we marry?
He replied, The suitable (matches).
Who are the suitable matches?
The Prophet (s.a.) responded, Some of the faithfuls are match for others.
Decent Family
- We also need to give great emphasis on taking into consideration a good family background when we intend to marry.
Rasulullah said : Marry in the lap of a decent family, since the semen and the genes have effect.
Physical and Mental Health
-we also need to consider the physical appearance and beauty of the prospective spouse even religiousness and piety are
most important.
Rasullulah p.b.u.h said :When one intends to marry a woman, he should ask about her hair, just as he asks about her face
(beauty), since the hair is one of the two beauties (of women).

Religiousness
Rasulullah (p.b.u.h) said, It is binding upon you to have a religious spouse.
The characteristic of piety applies to the groom just as much as to the bride.
Choosing the pious wife will keep the marriage in the blessing of Allah S.W.T
Good Nature
-The next important criterion is good nature. Character is of extreme importance in
Islam and goes hand in hand with faith and piety.Choosing the good nature of
women will keep the marriage happy.
Allah establishes the relation of this issue to marriage, saying:
"Bad women are for bad men and bad men are for bad women. And good women
are for good men and good men are for good women." (An-Nur: 26)

Child-Bearing
Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, recommended men to
marry women who are child-bearing. This characteristic is related to
some of the goals and purposes of marriage that were mentioned
earlier such as procreating the Muslim Ummah, raising a pious family
as a cornerstone of society and so forth.
Prophet (P.b.u.h) said:
"Marry the loving/friendly, the child-bearing woman, for I shall
outstrip the other nations with your numbers on the Day of
Judgment." (Reported by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and others and classed
as Sahih)
