Social Science

Social Science is the study of


various aspects of human society.
The social sciences include
sociology, anthropology,
economics, history, psychology
and political sciences. These social
science disciplines have a
common focus on the social
behavior of people, yet each has a
particular orientation.

Economics

Economics is one of the popular


social sciences.
It studies economy.
Economics deals with the flow of
money and the relationship of
prices to supply and demand.
It is concerned with production and
distribution of goods and services.

Classical economics concentrates on how


the forces of supply and demand allocate
scarce product and service resources.
Macroeconomics studies a nation or the
worlds economy as a whole.
Microeconomics studies the behaviour of
specific sectors of economy, such as
companies, industries,or even households.

Economics is often described as a


body of knowledge or study that
discuses how a society tries to
solve the human problems of
unlimited wants and limited
resources.

Political science

Political science is the study of the


state, government system and
politics.
Political science is the academic
subject centering on the relations
between governments and other
governments , and between
governments and people.

This social science investigated the


nature of states, the functions
performed by different types of
governments, history of political
institutions, political culture,
political economy and so on.

Psychology

Psychology deals with mental


process and behavior.
It is the branch of metaphysics
that studies the soul, the mind and
the relationship of life to the
functions of the body.

Cognitive psychology examines central


issues such as how mental process
work, the relation between mind and
brain.
Social psychology includes the study of
interactions between individuals and
groups, as well as the effects of groups
on the attitudes, opinions, and behavior
on individuals.

Development psychology has three


subfields :life-span development,
child development, and aging.
Clinical psychology deals with the
patients directly giving then
psychological therapy.

Anthropology

Anthropology is the origin, the


behaviour, and the physical, social
and the cultural development of
humans.
It is the study of humans, especially
of their customs, cultures, societies,
beliefs etc.
Anthropology studies human of all
time and space.

Anthropology could be called biosocial science as it studies human


not only as a social being but also
as a biological species.
