For broad looms where the no of warp threads in the warp exceeds the normal capacity of the creel bank ,it is necessary to run the yarns in warping machine ,popularly known as pre-beaming machine. The beam produced in the pre-beaming may contain ½,1/3,1/4 of the total threads required.Such beams are then placed in the frames of the sizing and beaming machine for producing the final sized beam. WASTES AND THEIR CONTROL There are three types of wastes in beaming department …. 1.wastage of yarns. Control: Spool.wastage of change after complete empty of running spools. Control: Proper maintenance of steam pipes and their joints should be carefully checked. Stopping steam flow when machine is idle. Maintaining proper steam pressure. GENERAL JOB OF A BEAM OPERATER 1.To supply good empty beam & mount it properly on the machine. 2.To unload full beam and placed it on a cart for caring the same to weaving or for storage. 3.proper threading ,checking of different process parameters. 4.periodically clean the sow box ,cylinders,second guide reed and lubricate properly etc.
