IMPORTANCE OF CO-ORDINATION
UNITY OF COMMAND

Co-operation along with unity of command


helps an organization to achieve its objectives.

UNITY OF DIVERSIFICATION-:

In an organization, effective co-ordination can


help all employees who are of different nature,
opinion and ability to achieve predetermined
objectives.

INCREASE IN EFFICIENCY-:

It establishes harmonious adjustment among


the activities of different employees to
discharge their duties more effectively and
efficiently in the organization.

DEVELOPMENT OF EMPLOYEES-:

According to Koontz and ODonnell, effective coordination solves the problem when they arise while best
co-ordination estimates the problem and takes care and
necessary action to solve them before they arrive.

EMPHASIS UPON HUMAN RELATIONS-:

It emphasizes upon human relations. It reduces the


disputes and frictions among employees of the enterprise.

INCREASE IN MORALE-:

Morale is group feeling. Co-ordination develops the feeling of


employees and thus increases the morale of employees.

PRIMARY CONDITION TO SUCCEED-:

Every activity involves joint or integrated efforts. In the same


way activities are interdependent. Co-ordination is a base and
a fundamental condition to achieve goals with joint efforts.

IMAGE AND REPUTATION-:

When efforts are suitably co-ordinated ,


company can achieve its goals effectively and
efficiently. It can fulfill its business obligations
successfully in time. A company with better coordination can enjoy good image and
reputation in the market.

1.Well-Defined Authority and Responsibility: To Overcome coordination problem authority and responsibility of each unit and
individual should be defined clearly.

2.Well-Defined Work Procedure: When the work procedure are


well-defined and adhered properly, this help to achieve co-ordination
easily.

3.Effective Communication System: A Good communication


system is one that ensures adequate, clear and timely information at
various points in the organization.

4. Provisions of check and inspection: Provisions of check


and inspection may not automatically ensure effective coordination but help to correct those factors which creates
problems of co-ordination.

5. Effective Organizational structure: Often, faulty


organizational structure is one the most crucial factor which
affect co-ordination adversely.

Proper Organizational Climate: Organizational climate


refers to the work environment that prevails in the
organization .If this developed properly, much of co-ordination
problems will not emerged.
