WHAT IS AN ELECTRIC GRID..??

A network of transmission lines, substations,
transformers and more that deliver electricity from
the power plant to your home.
Limited Delivery System.
High cost of power outage and power quality
interruption .
Inefficiency at managing peak load.
Communications too slow.

What is a smart grid..??

Smart
Grid

A SmartGrid is an electricity network

that can intelligently integrate the
actions of all users connected to it
generators, consumers and those
that do both in order to efficiently
deliver sustainable, economic and
secure electricity supplies.

What Smart Grid Does??

Decentralisation of generating resources
Integration of all resources of energy,
mainly renewable.
Continuous monitoring and feedback from
the network.
Anticipation of faults and helps fault
prevention
Establishes a two-way communication
between the utilities and the consumers.
Reduces the stress on the power system
infrastructure
Reduces and shifts the peak demand
Continuous self learning.
