Wine is an alcoholic beverage made from the
fermentation of unmodified grape juice

particular regions and wineries is leading to their
increased prominence on non-European wine labels

wine or a light wine

exposed to oxygen, a fermentative process
will transform the alcohol into acetic acid
resulting in wine vinegar
The salt in cooking wine inhibits the growth
of the acetic acid producing microorganisms
This preservation is important

and used occasionally over a long period of time

A vintage wine is one made from grapes
that were all, or primarily, grown in a single
specified year, and are accordingly dated
as such
In certain wines it can denote quality, as in
Port wine, where Port houses make and
declare "vintage" Port in their best years

many, many years, where the taster will be
able to enjoy the wine at its best.

amongst experts as to the uniqueness of
the wines
