Effective planning of multimedia and
educational technology will reinforce the
teaching and learning process in schools, and
provide the opportunity for each pupil to gain
knowledge through interesting, and effective
modes in tandem with the National Education
Policy to holistically develop each individual's
potential.

FUNCTIONS OF ETD

To analyse and interpret the educational policy requirements


regarding the role of educational technology in enhancing the
teaching and learning process.
To plan, prepare and produce multimedia teaching and
learning materials.
To disseminate teaching and learning materials produces
through print media, radio, televisyen, CD-ROM and computer
networks;
To monitor, evaluate and analyse the effective use of
educational technology in teaching and learning.
To plan, monitor, coordinate and evaluate the implementation
of school resource centres.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT DIVISION


The school curriculum is expected to
contribute to the holistic development of the
individual (mental, emotional, physical,
spiritual) by imparting general knowledge and
skills, fostering healthy attitudes and instilling
accepted moral values. The aim is to produce
Malaysian citizens who are balanced, trained,
skilful and cherish the national aspiration for
unity.

FUNCTION OF CDD

To plan activities and curriculum implementation strategies


at division/district levels.

To arrange and organize courses and seminars to


disseminate the latest information to teachers and all
personnel concerned.

To advice and guide teachers in curriculum implementation.

To monitor, supervise, and evaluate the implementation of


the curriculum.

To provide feedback to the higher authorities on the


implementation of the curriculum.

AMINUDDIN BAKI INSTITUTE


Aminuddin Baki Institute is the only training center
leadership and management education in the
country where the idea of formation triggered by
the Cabinet Committee Report examines the
implementation of the Education Policy 1979.
Beginning with the original name MUST (British
Educational Staff Training Institute) in 1979, it has
grown and change with current developments.

Technical and vocational education is intended
to open up opportunities to students who are
inclined to science and technology to meet the
manpower requirement of the nations industry.
To achieve this, the Technical and Vocational
Education Division offers programmes that allow
talented students to be semi-professional in
various technical and engineering fields.
