Key duties/responsibilities for financial analyst

Modeling the financial impacts of a variety of business decisions and presenting options
to business leaders. Helping drive process and cost efficiencies for business operations.

7. Annual budget development and investment analysis
8. Providing accurate and timely financial information to management (decision support,
business planning)
9. Lead business initiatives, typically leading analysts across multiple sub-functions
within finance
10. Identify opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in
the design
11. Represent business unit during cross-regional or cross functional planning processes

Key job qualifications for financial analyst


1. Bachelor degree with a focus in Finance, Accounting, Business or
Economics; CPA or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
2. 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst
3. Typically experienced in more than one finance function
4. Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis,
with advanced knowledge in one area
5. Excellent analytical skills
6. Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
7. Excellent communication and influencing skill
8. Superior teamwork skills
