Key duties/responsibilities for administrative officer


1. Organize and coordinate administrative activities in the A&E building.
2. Provide comprehensive, high-level administrative support to the principals
in the A&E Building.
3. Coordinate high-level, often sensitive and critical meetings and maintain
calendars ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
4. Manage the reservation of departmental vehicle assigned to the A&E
Building, as well as responsibility for the log to check out parking passes
to employees for appropriate use.
5. Screen calls and handle inquiries; redirect callers to appropriate staff
members.
6. Maintain filing systems in collaboration with other administrative staff;
coordinate administrative workflow with other staff members.
7. Gathers and analyzes resource data; prepares reports or analyses of
operational activities, evaluation of current and proposed services, etc.
8. Oversee maintenance of office equipment, order supplies.
9. Functions as a resource on issues such as researching complex
discrepancies, escalated customer service problems and vendor concerns.

2. Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively
with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing.
