to achieve a good grade in this class is to:
1. Read the required text before attending the appropriate
lecture. Without having read the assigned material a student
has no context for the class presentation and therefore misses
the important points to discuss.
2. Attend the class attendance will be counted and will

What is this course about?


ESP 1: English for Business Presentation introduces students to a
variety of technical and presentation theories and practices
designed to be applicable to the production of business presentation
in the real world.
At the completion of this course, students will be expected:
LO1: Design a business English presentation
LO2: Create their own style of a performing a business English
presentation
LO3: Perform a business presentation fluently and appropriately

All students are expected to show that they are intellectually


engaging the subject matter of every lecture/presentation.
Prohibited behavior includes sleeping, talking to neighbors,
reading magazine, typing SMS or doing your homework.
PLEASE BE ON TIME to avoid disrupting class, you are
expected to stay in class for the duration of the lecture/
presentation. You are not allowed to enter class if you are
late more than 10 minutes of the scheduled time. The
teacher has the right to ask you to leave if you are insisted to
come to class.
Pagers and cell phones are strictly prohibited in this class.

The structure of a presentation


The main part :
1. Introduction (part tell the audience what you are going to say)
2. Main part (say it)
3. Conclusion (tell them what you said)

Structuring a presentation
The most common way to structure a presentation is to
have three parts and sub divide them into (three) smaller
section
