What is RESOS design??
- Stand for Resource.
- Contribution and involvement of teachers in
the process of designing the RESOS will help
to improve the quality and effectiveness of
the education system, wholly.
- Example: the use of teaching aids and
instruments during teaching session in
classroom.
CONCEPT
Use to develop various types of teaching
materials:
1. Printed materials
2. Computer-aided materials

OBJECTIVES OF RESOS DESIGN
Encourage students to cultivate self-reliance
while exploring new areas of knowledge
Student-centered learning.
Using the concept of Mastery Learning.
RESOS DESIGN FOR TEACHING
- Can be divided into 3; classroom-oriented
model, product-oriented model and system-
oriented model (Gustafon, 1991).

- Due to the fact of RESOS design for teaching
that has been developed is classroom-based,
it is better for teachers to choose classroom-
oriented model such as ASSURE model.

- ASSURE model can be use to provide guidance on
planning and handling the teaching because this
model require the use of media (Heinich, 1982).
- There are 6 important stages that need to be
emphasise by teachers in order to prepare the RESOS
for teaching:
i. Analyse learner
ii. State the objective
iii. Choose the method, media and materials
iv. The utilisation of media and materials
v. Students participation
vi. Evaluate and revise
1. Analyse learners:
Discussing about general characteristics,
specific competency levels and learning style
of students.

2. Considering teaching objectives:
A stage that determines specific behaviours
done by the students that can be measured
after going through the teaching process.

3. Choose the method, media and materials
Based on the students level of ability and teaching
objectives.
4. The utilisation of media and materials
There are 6 steps that need to be considerate:
i. Provide an initial overview of the material to be used
ii. Material preparation
iii. Choose appropriate environment for the usage of the
chosen material
iv. Prepare the students through the use of set induction
or statement of the objectives
v. Provide learning experiences so that lesson can be
implement effectively
5. Students participation
A crucial stage to ensure the learning process
is actually occurs
6. Evaluate and revise
This stage is very important to examine the
effectiveness of the RESOS and to provide the
steps to enhanced its effectiveness.
