A. Teacher and the State
A Teacher SHOULD:
Oblige himself to see to it that the national
objectives of education is achieved by the
school he serves
Consider himself a trustee of the cultural and
educational heritage of the nation

B. Teacher and the Student
A Teacher SHOULD:
Act in the interest of his students
Make the learning experience of students enjoyable, fruitful and
meaningful
Be firm but gentle in manners of discipline

A Teacher SHOULD NOT/NEVER:
Insult his student in class
Enter the class under the influence of liquor
Receive favors, directly or indirectly, from any of his students or their
parents
Borrow money from his students
Take advantage of his position to court or advance his sexual desire to
students
Make deductions in students scholastic ratings
Divulge private matters and information that he know about the student

C. Teacher and his Colleagues
A Teacher SHOULD:
Be willing to share his knowledge and experience with
fellow members

A Teacher SHOULD NOT/NEVER:
Criticize another teacher
Spend his official time in making gossip related to the
other faculties
Write fabricated accusations and anonymous letters to
criticize his associates

D. Teacher and the School
Administrators
A Teacher SHOULD:
Support the policies of the school administration
Carry out the policies of the school honestly
Be punctual in the submission of requirements,
requests or papers in the office

A Teacher SHOULD NOT/NEVER:
Make false statements or charges against his
superiors

E. Teacher and the Parents
A Teacher SHOULD:
Maintain a cordial relationship with the parents of the
students
Hear parents complaints with sympathy and
understanding
Point out the students deficiencies and seek the
parents cooperation for the proper guidance of their
children
Keep in confidence when facing the parents of his
students

F. Teacher and Non-Teaching
Personnel
A Teacher SHOULD:
Treat non-teaching personnel as co-workers
Treat them with respect, courtesy and
considerations

A Teacher SHOULD:
First set the example of good behavior
