Outlet is opened with impaired persons

KFC has an outlet in chennai where around 12 young impaired people
manage only the kitchen .
But the recently inaugrated KFC outlet in kolkata is a first in a country where
hearing-impaired young people will interact with customers,
take orders, serve food on the table, clean the restaurant as well as manage
the kitchen.

very important. suppliers are expected to share their commitment to humane
handling of animals and they monitor their performance. Their goal is to work
only with suppliers that demonstrate and maintain compliance with animal
welfare practices.






Green building
GOAL: DESIGN AND BUILD ALL NEW COMPANY-OWNED RESTAURANTS TO BE LEED
(Leadership in energy & environmental Design) BY 2015.
In 2013, a KFC restaurant in Chennai, India achieved LEED Gold certification. That
store earned a score of 76 LEED points, whereas 60 LEED points required to
achieve a Gold rating.
Within one year of operations, the restaurant saved 42% of water and cutting
30% in energy costs through technologies such as high efficiency air conditioning,
ventilation, low-power LED and more efficient kitchen equipment.

Water conservation
In green restaurant in Chennai, India are now washing their hands in a more
earth-friendly way. This facility installed highly efficient water saving aerators in
2012. Sensors control the flow rate of water and yield significant water savings.
They are saving over 18,000 gallons of water per year.
