To date the accident rate is still very much the same!
80% of all the accidents are caused by Pilot Error.
20% other
So, it appears if Helicopter pilots could be trained to
make better decisions (ADM), a major portion of the
helicopter accidents could be eliminated and
movement towards the desired goal could progress!

Level 1 Perception
Level 2 Comprehension

Perception = Recognition
Comprehension = Understanding
Projection = Anticipation
Good Decisions?
Experience + Analysis = Situational Awareness (SA)
SA + Aeronautical Decision Making = Risk Management
I consider my decision to be the Safest course of action
GOOD TRAINING
60 year old (Legacy) training to PTS
Trained by inexperienced CFIs
ADM training just prior to check ride
There is a Better Way
to Train Pilots
Maneuvers Based Training
(MBT)

Scenario Based Training
(SBT)

SUMMARY
I am on a mission to reduce the
helicopter accident rate starting
immediately by helping to train the
Industry to change from legacy MBT to
