PROVERBS 13:18

Whoever disregards discipline comes to

poverty and shame,
but whoever heeds correction is honored.
EPHESIANS 5: 11-16
Dont waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of
darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. Its a scandal when people
waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip
the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ.
Wake up from your sleep,
Climb out of your coffins;
Christ will show you the light!
So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These
are desperate times! 17 Dont live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand
what the Master wants.
18-20
Dont drink too much wine. That cheapens your
life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of
him. Sing hymns instead of drinking songs!
Sing songs from your heart to Christ. Sing
praises over everything, any excuse for a song
to God the Father in the name of our Master,
Jesus Christ.

EPHESIANS 4:29-32
Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth.
Say only what helps, each word a gift.
30 Dont grieve God. Dont break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and
breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for
himself. Dont take such a gift for granted.
31-32 Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be
gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and
thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.
GALATIANS 5:16-23
My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by Gods Spirit.
Then you wont feed the compulsions of selfishness. For there is a root of
sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit, just as the free
spirit is incompatible with selfishness. These two ways of life are
antithetical (Directly opposed or contrasted) , so that you cannot live at
times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on
any given day. Why dont you choose to be led by the Spirit and so
escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?

19-21 It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own
way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation
of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for
happiness; trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness;
cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal
temper; an impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided
lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of
depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable
addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on. This isnt the
first time I have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this
way, you will not inherit Gods kingdom.
ECCLESIASTES 4:9-10
Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.

PROVERBS 13:20-21
Walk with the wise and become wise,
for a companion of fools suffers harm.
21Trouble pursues the sinner,
but the righteous are rewarded with good
things.

JOHN 15:13
Greater love has no one than this: to lay
down ones life for ones friends.

ROMANS 5:6-11
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the
ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a
good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His
own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be
saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were
reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been
reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also
rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now
received the reconciliation.
Challenge! Reevaluate the things you do and the people
you hangout with. Make good decisions in all things you do!

Is it wise?
Will it get me into trouble? Will this benefit me in my future?
Does it go against Gods word? Will this uplift, exhort or
encourage?
