Close Encounters Of The GOD Kind

Part 1
Dis-Ability is His-ability
Encounter: to come upon or experience
especially unexpectedly, a meeting that is not
planned
Intimacy with God is our highest calling.
This intimacy is based on a Biblical Theology
called prevenient grace.
This is how before we ever went after God, He
came after us! Amazing Grace!
The disciples did not come to Jesus until He came
unto them.
The woman at the well did not recognize Him, but
He recognized her.
The woman taken in adultery did not run to
Jesus, He came seeking her.
This does not mean God is not expecting us to go
after Him, it just means once He initiates the
pursuit, His hope is you will turn toward Him and
seek Him.
The enemy, knowing the power of intimacy, tries
to use our weaknesses as disabilities.
To disable you from going after God making you
feel unworthy and unable, thus hiding:
And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all
things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we
must give account. Seeing then that we have a great High
Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son
of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have
a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses,
but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let
us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we
may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Heb.4:13-16

God, knowing our weaknesses invites us into His
presence.
You have access to God, yet we can take this for
granted.
We have to be aware that we can become
familiar with God and NOT intimate.
John was intimate, Judas was familiar with Jesus

Note the exhortation: we obtain mercy
mercy triumphs over judgment Ja.2:13
Mercy is conferred by God according to grace
Ep.2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith,
and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of
God; it is not from works, so that no one can
boast.
And we find grace:
Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to
the humble. Pr.3:34 to make mouths at, to scoff
Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain,
The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously? But
He gives more grace. Therefore He says: God
resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.
James 4:5-6

Grace is something you get by humbly seeking
and the good news is the MORE you humble
yourself the MORE you get.
The only thing that can disable your
disabilities is more grace!
For I am the least of the apostles, who am not
worthy to be called an apostle, because I
persecuted the church of God. But by the grace
of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me
was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly
than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God
which was with me. 1 Cor.15:9-10
Did Paul have MORE God in him than you?
To this end I also labor, striving according to
His working which works in me mightily.
Co.1:29
The key is YIELDING, which is humbling
yourself to the God IN you, and you get MORE
grace!
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do
for His good pleasure. Ph.2:13
We dont need more of God, we need to yield to the
God who is IN us.
Pride is keeping us from an inbreak and we keep
waiting for an outbreak and God is saying COME OUT
THROUGH THE DOOR!
Moses in Ex.3 had an encounter that changed his life
and brought deliverance to millions!
