Coca-Cola is the most popular and biggest-
selling soft drink in history, as well as the best-
known product in the world, and is sold in
more than 200 countries;
Based on Interbrand's best global brand 2011,
Coca-Cola was the worlds most valuable brand
($71,86 billion)

CC was created by Dr. J.S.Pemberton,
an Atlanta pharmacist, in 1886;

The first sales were in Jacobs
Pharmasy in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 8, 1886;
CC was initially sold as a medicine for 5 cents a
glass;
It was proclaimed to cure many diseases,
including morphine addiction, headache, and
even impotence;

Dr. John Stith Pemberton
The new drink was named by Pembertons
bookkeeper F. Robinson, who wrote it out in
his distinct script.To this day, Coca-Cola is
written the same way.

During the WWII coming to Europe;

Expanding with new flavors: Fanta(1950s),
Sprite(1961), Fresca(1966);

In 1985, CC becomes the first soft drink ever
in space

Coca-Cola has a product portfolio of more
than 3,500 beverages (and 500 brands),
spanning from sodas to energy drinks to soy-
based drinks;


When launched, Coca-Cola's 2 key ingredients were
cocaine and caffeine;

Ingredients now:

Carbonated water
Sugar (sucrose or high-fructose corn syrup/HFSV/,
depending on country of origin)
Caffeine
Phosphoric acid
Caramel color (E150d)
Natural flavorings

Because its a high calorie drink, Coca-Cola is
considered to be harmful if consumed
excessively, particularly to young children;

The drink has also aroused criticism for its
use of caffeine, which can cause physical
dependence;

Some nutritionists caution against
consumption of HFCS because it may
aggravate obesity and type-2 diabetes more
than cane sugar

Coca-Cola is the most recognised trademark,
recognised by 94% of the world's population and
is the most widely recognised word after "OK;
Coca-Cola spends more money on advertising
than Microsoft and Apple combined (Ex.:$2.9
billion in 2010);
Coca-Cola was the first commercial sponsor of
the Olympic games, at the 1928 games in
Amsterdam, and has been an Olympics sponsor
