COMMUNITY

The word community comes from Latin word
Commie, means commune, Meaning- living
together.
A group of people living together in one place.
Practicing common ownership
All the people living in a particular area or
place: "local communities".
Community refers to people living in one
locality Geographic Community
A group of people having cultural, religious,
ethnic or other common interest Community
of interest
Community is a very fluid concept. Individuals
often define themselves as part of different
communities in different situations.

Creation and enhancement of a

Building community to address the
issues of those whom are marginalized,
excluded and discriminated.

Community work is that portion of activity
focused on bringing about a social change
within a set of working principles, namely;
that the process is collective, participative;
and employs a methodology which is
empowering and liberating to individual
participants and the community.

Community service is donated service
or activity that is performed by
someone or a group of people for the
benefit of the public or its institutions.
Getting involved in
our community makes it healthier and
livelier.
