What is a stakeholder?
A stakeholder is someone or a group of people that has an interest in the cause you are advocating for. A stakeholder is anybody who can affect or is affected by an organisation, strategy or project. Stakeholders
Individual Action Plan: Creating a cell phone app to reach out to children and parents. In todays society the use of cell phones are becoming more and more common in both children and parents, this bringing the information right to the stakeholders hands. The stakeholder that I contacted was an organization called The Power of One. The power of one is an organization that goes to school to educate the children about what the effect of bullying has on others.

Education
What is bullying? Bullying can happen to a group of children or to an individual.(Kidshealth, 2014). It is when another child does something to hurt someone else, for example name calling or hitting another child to poke fun of. What is the role of the Early Childhood Educators? The role of the Educators is to protect the children and be a positive support for them. They are there to ensure the safety of the children while under their care and to help teach them from right from wrong.

What are effects of bullying in schools? There is a possibility that the child will miss, drop out or skip school(Kidshealth, 2014).

Education
Canadian Bullying Statistics and Facts 49.5% of students surveyed have been bullied online. 25% of children in grades 4 to 6 have been bullied. Every 7 minutes on the playground. 38% of girls and 26% of boys (Cyber bullying)

In Ontario, 4-14-year-olds in 16 Toronto schools, shows that 15% of students have bullied others more than once or twice during the term; 20% of children have been bullied once or twice during a term (Reportbullying.com, n.d.).

At least 1 in 3 adolescent students in Canada have reported being bullied recently (CIHR, 2012). 47% of Canadian parents report having a child victim of bullying (CIHR,2012). Students who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Queer or Questioning (LGBTQ), or with disability are easier to be bullied (CIHR, 2012).

Government Statistics
What did the Government do to address this issue? Ontario passed the Accepting Schools Act on June 5, 2012, becoming the third province to implement anti-bullying legislation in Canada (Dearden, 2012). Except for Ontario, many of provinces in Canada have moved to enact legislations on anti-bullying, such as Nova Scotia, Quebec, Alberta, New Brunswick, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, and the Northwest Territory (Mitchell, 2012). These provinces have spent millions of dollars on address bullying issues through educational institutions during the last decade (Mitchell, 2012).
