Emphasize on guiding teacher how to control pupils in classroom and prevent chaos in the classroom five main areas: with - it - ness overlapping activities group focusing movement management or momentum smoothness The strengths: prepare good planning and organization prepare a lesson plan for your daily lesson manage time properly to conduct the activities make full use of your teaching aids The weakness: Hard to have an effective preparation without the help from the experienced teachers. Hard to have a good class control without the help from the experienced teachers. We need to be experienced enough

BUILDING THE FOUNDATION THEORY


Based from 3 models: Skinners model Glassers model Gordons model The Skinners model emphasize on shaping human behaviour based on the desired needs. 4 elements Operant conditioning reinforcements routines rewards The strength: promote positive behaviour create positive routines for pupils. The weakness: pupils work to please or for rewards. Glassers model has two main goals: The first goal - provide a classroom environment that motivates pupils and reduce negative behaviours by fulfil the pupils' basic needs The second goal - help pupils to have appropriate behavioural choices Gordons model emphasizes on a graphical tool used to identify which pupil owns the problem Steps: 1.Discipline as self control 2.Problem ownership 3.Active listening 4.Emphatic understanding 5.i-message 6.you-message 7.Winning and losing The strength: pupils learn to control themselves. Pupils learn how to solve their problems with communication. The weakness teacher tends to rely on rewards the i-message and you-message is less effective young learners have low self-conscious and

The strengths: pupils feel motivated in the learning session. they like the welcoming classroom environment. The weakness: hard to fulfil the needs of each of the pupils in the classroom

THEORIES OF ASSERTIVE TACTICS


Main objective: help teachers to run and be in charge of the classroom create a teacher in charge classroom environment. Three types of teacher: non-assertive Assertive hostile Steps: 1. Seek approval from administration and parents 2. Establish classroom rules 3. Develop discipline plan 4. Provide consequences

The strength: easily control the classroom and easily earn respect from the pupils. influence the pupils by promoting positive behaviour teacher also can be firm with their stand and not been influenced by pupils misbehaviour

The weakness: teacher having problem to differentiate hostile and assertive. the pupils will hardly respect them but they will only scared of the teachers. prevent the bond of teacher-pupils to be close to each other.
