KOSMOPOLITANISME

Pengertian
Menurut bahasa, kosmopolitanisme

berasal dari kata kosmos (space) dan polites (citizen). kosmopolitanisme dapat dikatakan sebagai konspe world citizen I am citizen of the world, (Diogenes)

Pengertian, lebih spesifik..


Stoics, berpendapat bahwa pada dasarnya

manusia hidup dalam satu ruang yang sebut sebagai cosmos, dimana manusia-manusia tersebut hidup bersama dalam kelompok yang humankind might live together in harmony. Selanjutnya ia membagi karakter ruang tersebut ke dalam dua kelompok, yaitu one which is local and assigned to us by birth dan yang kedua berdasarkan ruang yang bersifat truly great and truly common, raung di luar dari ruang pertamanya.

Asumsi Kosmopolitanisme
Tiga asumsi dasar dari kosmopolitanisme adalah 1.manusia sebagai makhluk individu merupakan unit politik dan moral paling penting. 2.setiap manusia memiliki status moral yang sama. 3.status setiap orang sebagai manusia menjadi perhatian setiap orang lain sesama anggota komunitas manusia yang bersifat global

Prinsip Kosmopolitanisme (Held)


(1) equal worth (nilai) and dignity

(martabat):
Humankind belongs to a single moral realm (alam moral yang tunggal) in which each person is regarded as equally worthy of respect (dihormati ) and consideration (Beitz, 1994; Pogge, 1994a)
(2) active agency (berdialetika):

human agency must be conceived (dipamahami) as the ability to act otherwise the ability not just to accept but to shape (membentuk) human community in the context of the choices of others.

Prinsip lanjutan,
(3) personal responsibility and accountability:

it is inevitable that people will choose different cultural, social, and economic projects need to be recognized (pengakuan). People develop their skills and talents (keterampilan dan bakat) differently, and enjoy different forms of ability
(4) consent (persetujuan): people can negotiate and pursue their public interconnections, interdependencies and life chances to achieve equal worth and equal moral value.(dan mengejar interkoneksi publik mereka, saling ketergantungan dan peluang hidup))

while a legitimate public decision is one that results from consent, this needs to be linked with voting at the decisive stage of collective decision-making and with the procedures and mechanisms of majority rule.

the principle of sustainability, which specifies that all economic and social development must be consistent with the stewardship of the worlds core resources for achieving the equal worth and active agency of future generations.

dianggap sebagai kecenderungan positif akan terbukanya pikiran, toleransi dan empati terhadap seluruh manusia. Penghormatan terhadap nilai-nilai dasar manusia sebagai global mankind Kosmopolitanisme citizen of the world

warga negara kehilangan jiwa patriotisme, nasionalisme, tidaksetia pada negaranya. Relevance of national and state boundaries to questions of justice. universality of the values nature of the institutions fit to deliver global justice. cosmopolitan future is naive and misguided.

dimana mengakui sikap anarkis dan antagonis pada manusia. Dalam salah satu rumusannya mengenai perdamaian abadi, Kant menjelaskan bahwa perdamaian abadi dapat terwujud apabila negara melakukan penghapusan tentara (wajib militer) dan menghentikan perlombaan senjata. Pandangan tersebut memberi peluang besar bagi ide kosmopolitanisme melalui pembentukan negara dunia yang bebas hegemoni dan menjunjung kesetaraan HAM.
