SIMPLE PRESENT I study English everyday.

CONTINUOUS I am studying English now.

PERFECT I have studied English in several different countries. I had studied a little English before I moved to London.

PERFECT CONTINUOUS I have been studying English for 5 years. I had been studying English for 5 years before I moved to London. I will have been studying English for over two hours by the time you arrive.

PAST

Two years ago, I studied English in England.

I was studying English when you called yesterday.

FUTURE

I am going to study English next year

I will be studying English when you arrive tonight.

I will have studied every tense by the time I finish this course.

Info or fact which is true all the time.

Info which is true at the time of speaking

A repeated or habitual action

Haniza walks to the campus everyday. I play tennis every week.

Act that not only started but also ended at a specific time in the past.

Sara lived in Zimbabwe for 5 years. Shaouki studied Japanese for 8 years.

When clauses
When Dolah paid RM1, Dolly talked. Dolly talked, when Dollah paid her RM1 Dollah paid her RM1, when she talked. When Dolly talked, Dollah paid her RM1.

Adverb comes before the verb. Formation of simple present and past tense

Two actions in the past; 1st action = Past Perfect Tense is used 2nd action = Simple Past Tense is used

Duration before something in the past

I had worked in Mekdi before I worked in Keyepsi. I had never seen such a beautiful beach before I went to Kulai.

We had had that car for ten years before it broke down. By the time Aiman finished his studies, he had been in London for over eight years.

Action that will occur before another action in the future.

Action that will happen before a specific time in the future.

Action that will continue up for certain duration until another action in the future
