INTRODUCTION
FACTORIAL EXPERIMENTS
Factor : Kind of treatment who have several level/treatment Level : the several treament within any factor Example :
Variety/Strain Fertilizer Ration Animal housing
FACTORIAL EXPERIMENTS
Term : Factorial experiment is one in which the set of treatment consists of all possible combination Notation
Factorial experiment 2 x 2 : consist of 2 factor experiment with 2 level for each factor. Example A factor with 2 level (a1 and a2), B factor with 2 level (b1 and b2) The combination of 2 factor are a1b1, a1b2, a2b1, a2b2.
Factorial experiments is just only method to arrange treatment combination. Application this treatment dependent of environment or heterogenous experiment unit, do by RCD, RCBD, LSD.
TREATMENT EFFECT
Simple Effect
Effect of at once factor at each level of another factor :
A at b1 A at b2 B at a1 B at a2
Main Effect :
Averages of simple effect :
Main effect of A Main effect of B
Interaction effect :
The difference between the simple effects Example AB Interaction Effect (measures the failure of the A effect, to be the same for each level of B, or conversely). Curve of Interaction effect

RESUME AT FACTORIAL
First, see at AB interaction effect. If, AB interaction effect is not significant , indicates that the factors are independent, difference between simple effect A for two level of B is not significant, and, conversely. If, AB interaction effect is significant , indicates that the factors are not independent, difference between simple effect A for two level of B is significant, and, conversely.
