Capacity KPIs
Tool based calculations to assess rollout progress & network build tracking
2 UMTS/HSPA Training VTN-A Access Design
Tool based coverage/quality/ performance analysis to visualise expected or planned coverage, e.g. fix drive test route
C2 V1.0
KPI Management
KPI focus to status of network build and operation Example:
Site installation period Optim. Period Acceptance period
Weekly reporting
14 days reporting
Monthly reporting
Focus E2E testing for optimisation and network counters to assess network quality
E2E testing and network couters to verify customer experience and network quality/ performance
Usualy different targets are applied to stages of network build, optimisation, acceptance and operation

Cell EDGE throughput Cell edge shall be represented by the 5 percentile: the upper limit from the 5% lowest measured throughputs out of the entire set of individual measurement points. Average throuhput Average throughput shall be the numerical average value out of the entire set of individual measurement points. Peak throughput Peak throughput shall be represented by the maximum value reached out of the set of individual measurement points (100 percentile)

Method of calculation KPI target values Source of information <=1,5% Network Counters
Reporting
monthly
How does the method of KPI calculation look like ? Since KPI definitions are strongly vendor dependent a detailed definition is required
(Detailed definition: abstract definition + equation, space aggregation, measurement point, reporting period, time aggregation, screening level, trigger points, signalling flow from / to network, ., vendor specific translation)

Overall utilisation = MAX resource
In 3G the max of the resources are used to derive the final utilisation figure Depending on the resource which is highly used different actions are required, e.g. putting more base band capacity
