INDIAN FOOD!

India is a large country in southern Asia. It is separated from the rest ofAsia by the Himalayan Mountains. India is the world's largest, oldest, continuous civilization.

Indian food is different from rest of the world not only in taste but also in cooking methods. It reflects a perfect blend of various cultures and ages. Just like Indian culture, food in India has also been influenced by various civilizations.

NORTH INDIAN FOOD

A typical North-Indian meal would consist of unleavened bread baked on a griddle, unleavened bread fried on a griddle, rice and an assortment of assessories like vegetables, curries. North Indian desserts are very similar in taste as they are derived from a milk pudding or rice base and are usually soaked in syrup.

SAAG!
The 'Saag' is prepared with a green leafy vegetable known as the Hak'.

BOONDI LADDU
Boondi Laddu the round,small sweets with almonds, dry grapes and cardamon. As a traditions they are always eaten in October at Deepavali festival.

WEST INDIAN FOOD

A huge part of Western India is cosmopolitan in its food habits, but there is still plenty of traditional fare. The desert cuisine is famous for its unique taste and varieties of food.

SHRIKHAND
Shrikhand is popular Gujarati dessert prepared of Elaichi powder and sugar powder, on the occasions and festivals. Shrikhand owes its origin from Gujarat but it is equally popular in all over western India.

BHELPURI
Bhelpuri is the most popular everyday snack in West India. It is a sweet and spicy combination of puffed rice, onions, tomatoes, puri, coriander, chillies and chutneys.

EAST INDIAN FOOD

The various eminent East Indian recipes include the excellent range of fish and rice,which are principal elements forming the taste of eastern India. The cultural and the geographical influence has immense role in shaping the basis of the East Indian cuisine.

MACHER JHOL
Macher Jhol is one of the most preferred dishes of people living in East India. It is a boiled fish with specific spices and is usually eaten with rice.

RASGULLA
Rasgulla spongy cheeseballs, dipped in sugar syrup, is a heart winning Bengali dessert. Rasgulla is the most healthy dish from the Indian desserts.

SOUTH INDIAN FOOD

South Indian food is largely non-greasy, roasted and steamed. Rice is the staple diet and forms the basis of every meal. It is usually served a thin soup, dry and curried vegetables and a curd preparation called pachadi. Coconut is an important ingredient in all South Indian food.

TANDOORI
Tandoori Chicken is one of the most delicious dish from everyday Indian cuisine. The best feature of Tandoori Chicken is it is easy to prepare and it is not as oily as other chicken dishes.

BURFI
Coconut Burfi is a very popular Indian sweet of scraped coconut shreds, sugar and cardamon powder. Indians usually eat it everyday but there is a tradition,that when they go to the weddings, they have to bring this sweets for the newlyweds.
