He was born in Atlanta Georgia, January 15, 1929 He was born in a time when black people didnt had rights or priviledges, this was called racial discrimination.

His mother persuaded teachers so Martin could have a place at school and learn as every other kid.
Martin Luther King Jr was in jail 30 times because he fighted for his peoples rights. On April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King Jr was shot by a gunman and died at 6:01 pm.

SETTING
On August 28, 1963, Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" Speech at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The theme is racism because Martin Luther King showed his desire for a future where blacks and whites among others would coexist harmoniously as equals, and gave some examples of the racism that existed in 1950's America.

SUMMARY
Martins speech talks about how all people should be together regardless of their race, ethnic group. Talks about how important is for people to be together, to work together, because if thanks to teamwork and without discrimination the world and the human race can achieve great things, and advances in technology.

In this speech I have a dream as the title says, the whole text makes an emphasis on the dream of a better America, without injustice, racism, poverty and slavery so the most important part of the text is when the author Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. starts talking about what he wants in the country, when he repeats the phrase I have a dream.

SYHTESIZE
At the end of the lecture, we synthesize that at the 60s there where a lot of problems related with injustice and racism and that one of the persons that help to solve this problems was Martin Luther King Jr. a civil rights leader.

We think that this story is very good because we saw how brave Martin Luther King was, and we also admire him because he did not use guns or fire to fight to get his rights as a color person, he used words, he spoke as a civilized person and we think that that was what make him gain the Noble Prize, to be so recognize by his braveness, and to be admired by many of us. Martin Luther King was, and will always be a very important person to our lives, history and hearts.
