Object of activity The Airport Satu Mare R.A. is offering complete airport services for all the airline operators and for the charter flights since 1936. In order to provide good quality services for the costumers, they can assure the following facilities: free auto parking and commercial spaces that include clothing stores, fast foods and a caf bar.

Type of organization Satu Mare International Airport is a public corporation currently owned by the Satu Mare County Council.

Short history
Satu Mare is one of the oldest airports in Romania,founded on October 15,1935 by a Royal Decree,on an area of 600x600 meters. In 1938,after the official opening,the first aircraft that landed at the new airport was a Junkers 34.

In 1996 the airport was declared open for international traffic Since 1997,the International Aiport Satu Mare adheres as a permanent member of the International Council of Airports

In the year of 2007, the total incomes of the company advanced slightly with 215.600 lei, but the profit had a large increase (210.000 lei).

In the first year of the survey the costs value was just under 1.578.000 lei. In the last year the increase of the expenses followed the growth rate of the previous period to a total of 2.340.000 In the same amount of time the company had no debts and also the value of the stocks went from 20.000 lei to 106.000lei.

 Interesting facts
A plane was baptized in the airport of Satu Mare , with a very special ritual: It was sprinkled by the two oldest fire-fighter cars of the city.

Another interesting fact about the airport is that on its terrains is held annually the Chevrolet DragRacing Cup.
