TOPIC:

POLLUTION

. GRADE/YEAR : FOURTH YEAR

OBJECTIVES
a. Determine the cause of pollution in the environment, b. Discuss the possible effect when the environment is polluted , c. Create presentation of ways on how to prevent pollution.

Introduction/ motivation

The teacher presents the topic through displaying different pictures of natural resources like land, forest, mountains, rivers, oceans and etc. Each picture has an image of BEFORE and AFTER of land, water and air. The teacher let the student describe all the pictures presented. The students compares the before and after pictures

Procedures

The teacher will be giving five group activities. Each group must have 5- 6 members. The leader will pick the rolled paper which enclosed the task assign for them. Each task is given with directions and materials to be used. Each group are given 15 minutes to discuss and prepare their assigned task.

GENERALIZATION
The teacher asks the following questions: 1. What are the cause and effect of the pollution in: A. land B. water C. air 2. As a student what can you contribute to this problem in your environment?

3. What are the ways in order to prevent this problem or at least to lessen the pollution? 4. If you are given the chance to make a law, what is it and how would you implement this ? 5. What are the factors that affect pollution if this will not prevented?

EVALUATION

The students are group into five with six to seven members. Each group is given different task to be done with the same topic to be presented. 1. Role playing/ drama 2. Jazz Chants 3. Conduct seminar/ symposium 4. Video recording/ broadcasting 5. Slogan making

Task Outline

ROLE- PLAY/DRAMA Dramatize the cause and effect of land, water and air pollution. At least 10 minutes duration of time. JAZZ CHANTS Create a jazz chants about ways on how to make surrounding clean (land, water, air). Includes the laws that covers pollution. Must be 7 minutes duration of time.

VIDEO RECORDING/ Broadcasting


1. Record of your own video that shows the land, water, and air pollution. 2. Discuss the cause of each pollution. 3. Record also how to prevent this pollution through broadcasting. 4. Must be 10 minutes duration of time.

Conduct seminar/symposium
1. Assign each of your members to be the speakers, listener. 2. Make at least three agenda. 3. Must be 6 to 8 minutes duration time.

SLOGAN MAKING
1. Create a slogan about pollution. 2. Use different colors and shapes of cartolina as design. 3. Draw picture in each slogan that correspond on the quotes you create . 4. Write it boldly visible to any one. 5. Post your slogan in a big cartolina.
