VICTIM PROTECTION
The DSWD offers the following types of victim care services to trafficking victims: (i) Temporary shelter / Recovery services; (ii) counseling or stress debriefing; (iii) medical examination; (iv) Livelihood assistance; (vi) Skills training; (vii) Support to TIP victims/witnesses; and (viii) 'Balik Probinsya' transportation services.
For the year 2012, the DSWD was able to provide assistance to two thousand one hundred eighty three (2,183) cases of trafficking.

the primary receiving and processing center of TIP and Illegal recruitment complaints. It shall also act as TIP victim/witness coordinator by locating witnesses and providing security and escort services to witnesses attending court hearings and preliminary investigations.
