Another closed question that I asked, to find out about whether or not the people I interviewed knew about

SASH an existing charity as it is aimed at their age range, so It would be beneficial for them to be aware of the charity and its services. Interestingly 69% didnt know, or heard about SASH.

This is a graph of my results, it shows what age range answered my survey, I can use this to tell me whose answers are relevant for my brief. For example I will focus on all the age ranges, but more so the 18-21 bracket as it is the age range in the middle of 16-24 that the charity supports. Interestingly people aged 18-21 were the majority of people who answered.

This survey is very similar to the one next to it, as both questions are regarding whether the people surveyed would either support a homeless charity in two different ways. It interestingly shows that young people who answered my question said they would consider volunteering for a homeless charity, which is the opposite answer to what I would assumed.

This question is similar to the other one as it asks young people a similar question, they have also answered that again they would support a homeless charity or do support a homeless charity, which is also an answer I wouldnt of expected. What I can conclude from this individual question is because of the age range that responded to my survey I would think most people who said yes, would like to think they would support, but whether or no they would do it is uncertain.

Based on the answers to this question, not many people were aware of organizations , or were confused about what charities did as some of the answers were wrong or people just didnt know.

5 out of 13 were aware of no homeless charities, and 3 were wrong answers about charities that werent applicable to the question. This included answers such as, the RSPCA, Police stations and Samaritans.

However some people who answered my survey were aware of the charity SASH, although some of the other charities listed were not applicable to assisting young homeless people. This shows that young people may need more of on education on the subject.

This is the range of answers this question received ; None, None, Salvation Army, None, None, Police Station, None, SASH, SASH, SASH and Shelter Scotland, Samaritans, RSPCA and SASH.

This question is very important for the brief that I have been set by the charity SASH. It allows me to see up to date modern places that young people would want to see charity posters and advice leaflets displayed and distributed. Interestingly the answers had a pattern as a number of people who answered this question agreed on similar places. Answers included, schools, colleges, hospitals, town centers, parks, shopping centers, cinemas, bus or train stations and conexxtions. With reasons given such as places that will appeal to the young demographic and places young people like to go such as the cinema as they are more likely to see them.

The majority of people who answered this question said they had never had any involvement or ever knew anyone who has been or who is homeless. However a couple of answers included someone dealing with a homeless person as they gave them food and another who said they once knew someone who nearly became homeless but were fortunate to rely on friends and family.

This was another open question that was asked had interesting answers, that conflicted with the other answers to question with would you help and support a homelessness charity. As people who answered this open question seemed negative towards homelessness people. Although a lot of people did put that they feel sorry for them or sympathy, but answers did include people wondering If they had mental health issues and were intimidating.
