Introduction

Co-operative Farming is a system where in farmers voluntarily come together,pool their resources in buying inputs,using resources like land ,water and market the produce and divide the earnings.

Concept of Co-operative Farming


Co-operative farming means conducting the agricultural activities on co-operative basis. 'Each for all and all for each'. Nobody loses the right of ownership nor does the society acquire any rights. The bits of lands pooled together, is cultivated as if it all belonged to one individual. From the stage of tilling the land, right up to harvesting, storing and selling everything is done collectively. Only the dividends are divided in an appropriate manner.

Need for Co-operative Farming


Co-operative farming was accepted as the future pattern of land management in the country and consequently the programmed of cooperative farming on voluntary basis. Co-operative farming helps in converting uneconomic holdings into economic and and viable units and thus enables a more rational use of animal and human labor.

Co-operative farming enables better agriculture planning which results in increased production.

Co-operative Collective Farming Society

Farming is done on individual basis but they buy inputs through society ,sells there produce through society.

Co-operative Joint Farming

Small holding are consolidated and big holding is worked by society. Fertilizers, seeds and implement are arranged by society.

Co-operative Tenants Farming

In this type of farming the co-operatives itself purchase a land or takes it on lease and distribute it among the members and there is definite plan for farming.

Increase in unemployment

Neglect of human and animal labor

Conclusion

The only and right answer to hunger in India is make the agriculture & rural economy strong and independent. Implement co-operative farming. Initially it will resisted but once the farmers know the benefits of it they welcome it. Once India is self sufficient in food production and farmer is happy the whole country will be automatically on the path to development.
