Every employer shall take all practicable steps to ensure the safety of employees while at work
HEALTH AND SAFETY IN EMPLOYMENT ACT 1992 (sect 7)

Every employer shall ensure that there are in place effective methods for identifying existing hazards, and (if possible before they arise) new hazards to employees at work.

WHAT IS STRESS ?
Stress is a feeling that is cased when we react to a particular event. It is the body's way of rising to a challenge and preparing for a tough situation.

STRESS FEELINGS
-anxiety

-physical pain -bad night sleep -headache -Short temper -muscle tension

TYPES OF STRESSORS
-bad night sleep -barking dogs -repetitive tasks -travel -over worked -money -car problems

NEGATIVE STRESS
-Negative stress is any stress that is prolonged.
-this stress can make you feel run down and sick it can also case headache or even a hart attack.

Positive stress
-Keeps you motivated -Makes you perform well under presser

-Feeling emotional drained -crying spells -frustration -anxiety -nearness -short temper

Stress is not the same as ill-health, but has been related to such illnesses as; -hart problems -back pain -constipation

Sometime a major life events can case high levels of stress .an example may be a death in your family.

Internal Stress

Internal Stress is cased when you are really worried about something. An example may be a mother worried about her daughter as she has come to a party with me.
