The Characters:

Police Officer

The Situation:
Viki is at a club with some
friends
and she left her wallet on a
chair
near the pool table so that she
could play pool. When she
goes to
get it, it’s gone and so she calls
The Missing Wallet
Officer: This is Officer DeVeau. How can I help you?
Viki: My name is VikiChang. I want to report that my wallet was
stolen.
Officer: Let me take the report right now. Where was it stolen?
Viki: At Tempo, the club on Ninth Avenue. I’m here right now.
Officer: How long ago was it taken?
Viki: Maybe 15 minutes ago. Maybe a little less.
I left it on a chair with some other things and I just looked
away for a few minutes.
Officer: Did anyone see who took it?
Viki: No… There’s a lot of people here.
Officer: Can you describe the wallet and exactly what was stolen?
Viki: It’s red leather with three gold buttons on the edge.
Uh…. It folds into three parts, and inside there’re pictures
of family, friends, my credit cards, bank cards, my driver’s
license.

Officer: I need your phone number and address.
Viki: 555-9867. I live here in the city at 13 Mill Street.
Officer: We’ll send a copy of this report to you.
