THE MAKING OF A LEADERINNOVATION!

BY VIVIAN FOWLER MEMORIAL COLLEGE FOR GIRLS

WHO IS A LEADER?
The leader the person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. He/ she is the artist to every drab canvas. The leader is an innovator, motivator. The leader is the builder and foundation to every building.

WHAT MAKES A LEADER?

RELATIONSHIP

Leadership is a choice!
It must be understood first of all that leadership is a choice not a position. Having a title does not qualify one as a leader

THE ROAD TO LEADERSHIP

Leaders are found in our classrooms, athletic competitions, corporations, and legislatures. These individuals, as Steven Pearlstein wrote in, "Seven who exceed defining," have "determination not just to do their jobs well, but to redefine them to make them broader and the challenges more ambitious." Of course, some leaders George Washington is a prime example define the role for others to follow.

Innovation Leadership is neither a magnetic personality nor is it

influencing the public; it is building the publics dreams beyond aspirations, raising their personalities above reach and beyond limits basically it is giving the people A VISION!

the leader is the innovator who builds new and better ideas for the improvement of the peoples
To be a leader one must have a scary vision and dream that will produce great innovation

INNOVATION AS CREATIVITY
EVERY splash of color, dribble of paint, stroke of brush or blotch of white, green, yellow, redleaves its permanent mark on a drab canvas. The artist in part sets the ground for embellishment and paves way for increased perception of the masterpiece. This artist is the utopian, the dreamer, the visionary, the idealist, the realist in short, this artist is the leader. As Mahatma Gandhi once said If I believe that I can do it, I will surely acquire the capacity to do it, even if I may not have it in the beginning. Ellen Johnson, the first president of Liberia once said if your dream isnt big enough to scare you, then it is not worth your time Being a leader innovation encompasses ones ability to go beyond the limit. That is having a dream. Martin Luther King said I have a dream. My question to you all is DO YOU?

CREATIVITY AS IN PASSION
For you to be a dreamer you must have a passion to create your masterpiece.

Leonardo Da Vinci created the world known artwork Mona Lisa looking back now do you think he never had a passion for creating such a beautiful master piece.
Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Michelle Obama even Margaret Thatcher- they too had passion for what they wanted to change.

INNOVATION FROM NEED

WE look at the country we live in today and we notice that there are needs in our country

For one to find a means to innovate, then one must seek the needs of ones country.
There are needs in the country, for you to dream you must realize these needs. It is from needs we beget innovation

INNOVATION LINKED WITH TEAMWORK

To come up with a mind blowing invention, there is a need to bring people together to share the different ideas you all would have in common. The ability to produce an awesome work requires teamwork. The creativity of many combined is times ten of that of a person.

BUTARENT THERE CHALLENGES?

Being a leader is in itself a challenge. The challenges of leadership are really of three kinds: external, coming from people and situations; internal, stemming from within the leader himself; and those arising from the nature of the leadership role. Realize this fact- it is from the challenges we face on a daily basis that we get innovative ideas Take for instance, Rosa Parks saw a challenge- disunity amongst citizens of America, through creativity and passion she faced it head on and conquered! Nelson Mandela saw a challenge with independence, so he strove hard to achieve his goal. They all come down to one thing- INNOVATION!
