Many verses of

as being like a
Canopy, Roof or
Dome.

edifice.”

had the Sky built above you.”

The Koran
Mentions
Gates of Heaven opened
“Gates of Heaven”
which seem to be
doors in the Sky
that can be
opened in order to
allow solid objects
to pass through
the Sky.
This implies that
Hole in the Sky
the Sky is solid.

Surah 25:25
Rodwell “So we opened the gates of Heaven with water which fell in
torrents, and we caused the Earth to break forth with springs, and their
waters met by settled decree.”
Sale “So we opened the gates of Heaven, with water pouring down, and
we caused the Earth to break forth into springs; so that the water [of
Heaven and Earth] met, according to the decree which had been
established.”
Irving “”So We opened Heaven's gates for water to pour down. We
drilled the Earth full of springs and the waters met at a command which
had been decreed.”
Dawood “We opened the Gates of Heaven with pouring rain & caused
the Earth to burst forth with gushing springs so that the waters met for a
predestined course.”
The possibility of
the Sky having
cracks or flaws
suggests that the
author of the Koran
thought that it was
made from
something solid.
Pickthall “And when the Sky is riven asunder, And when the
mountains are blown away.”
Yusuf Ali “When the Heaven is cleft asunder; When the mountains are
scattered (to the winds) as dust.”
Hilali-Khan “And when the Heaven is cleft asunder; And when the
mountains are blown away.”
Shakir “And when the Heaven is rent asunder, And when the
mountains are carried away as dust.”
Sher Ali “And when the Heaven is rent asunder, And when the
mountains are blown away like dust.”
Khalifa “The Sky is opened up. The mountains are blown up.”
Many verses of
the Koran
refer to the Sky
being rolled up
on Judgement
Day.
This suggests a
belief that the
Sky was solid.
Notice how Khalifa has distorted the meaning of the text & how he is out of

Many believe that the black stone in the Kaaba is a meteorite that fell in
Pre-Islamic times and that the Pagan Arabs worshiped it as they believed
that it came from Heaven and was therefore Holy & worthy of worship.
