SELECTION This process involves assessing

and choosing among job candidates. SOCIALIZATION This final step in staffing involves orienting new employees to organization and its work units, especially the work units where the newly hired employee will be working.

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL
This is a key aspect of performance

management. It may be defined as the process of evaluating the performance of employees, sharing that information with them, and searching ways to improve their performance.

Functions of Performance Appraisal


To give employees feedback on performance; To identify the employees developmental

needs; To make promotion and reward decision; To make demotion and termination decisions; To develop information about the organizations selection and placement decisions.
