Started by Mr V.A Abraham ( Scientist - NAL) House of Electronic Weighing & Automation. ISO-9001 :2000 certified company

Strengths
Indigenous manufacturer of strain gauge based load cells and transducers. Full fledged R& D. More than 50 wide range of products. 20 sales & service centres all over the country.

Weaknesses

Lack of foreign collaboration in terms of technology. Lack of marketing & promotion strategies. Market share is very less. Company is not making any effort in building brand image.

Opportunities

Capitalizion on the retail boom. Enormous potential for exports. Great demand for automation

Threats

Competitors are collaborating with world class leaders in weighing and automation equipments. Fluctuations in the price of steel. Attrition rate high -influence of high pay in MNC firms.

Findings
Competition in the field of automation is very high. Efficient service after sales. Exports products: Singapore, Srilanka & Egypt. Production plan & design is made according to the customers specifications. R & D doing great job in Innovation. Most components are indigenously manufactured. Proper departmentation in the organization.

Suggestion & Conclusion


CONCLUSIONS:

IPA being in the market for 33 years now is termed and recognized as The House of Weighing and Automation.

SUGGESTIONS:

More specialized workforce is needed to increase the efficiency of the company. Marketing strategies needs to be reviewed. Company should initiate corporate & brand image building through effective promotional strategies.

My Learning
Practical aspects of Planning, Organizing, Leading, controlling and Decision making. Interdependency of each departments and employees to help in achieving organizations vision and mission.

Importance of *Training and development *Team effort.

*Time management.

*Cordial relations between top management and employees to increase the productivity.

Special Task
Effectiveness of Human Resource Practices and Employee Satisfaction with reference to IPA Private Limited, Bangalore.

Objectives To find out the effectiveness of HR practices in IPA Private Ltd. To identify the dependence of employee satisfaction on the various HR practices .

Research Methodology
Type of research Methodology : Discriptive Research

Sources of data: Primary data obtained from the employees of the company.

Tools of data collection: Convenience Sampling

Statistical Tools: Chi- Square Test.

Findings
Performance appraisal is good. Recruitment processes is at right time. Providing welfare measures to the employees. Training and development programmes to improve technical and non-technical skills of the employees. Appropriate grievance handling mechanism. Need for employees skill development, education and growth. Excellent Internal communication system. Employee satisfaction is dependent on HR practices.

Suggestions
Should provide adequate medical facilities and allowances to the employees.
To maximize productivity managers need to identify the key success factors and motivate the employees to adapt the management strategies. The organization need to come up with new programmes for career development of the employees to gain confidence.

Can conduct monthly job related programmes to increase the productivity.


Should provide non-monitory benefits to the employees to increase their satisfaction level.

Conclusion
Human Resources are the wealth of the organization which can help in achieving vision, mission, objectives and goals of the organization. Better HR practices - satisfy employees ,help to achieve their organizational goals.
