Nursing since its inception as a profession, in its pristine purity, has always served the purpose of human well being. It is noblest of faith rooted in learning, practice, character, empathy, care and nurturance. The progressive changes have made the profession even more challenging and dynamic, to which all the concerned should match to be able to shoulder the responsibilities effectively. Nursing education is the foundation to the above and hence keeping in view of serving in society, the management of Babe Ke Institute of Nursing, Daudhar, Moga left no stones unturned in facilitating the Institute with excellent infrastructural, Instructional facilities , resources and above all a highly motivated faculty.

ANM (Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery) 2 years programme
Admission Criteria
1. Eligibility: (a) The Minimum age for Admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. (b) The maximum age for Admission is 35 years. (c) The minimum educational requirement shall be the 10 + 2 pass or Central Board Education or a recognized equivalent public examination. Subjects of study equivalent to those prescribed by the CBSE for the Class XII . (d) Admission is subjected to satisfactory medical examination report. 2. Admission Process: As per the Academic merit. 3. Reservation of Seats: As per Punjab Govt. policy.
GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) 3 years programme
Admission Criteria
(1) Eligibility: (a) Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively on or before 31st December of the year of admission. (b) Minimum Educational qualification; (i) 10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics ,Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregate of 40% marks.
(ii) 10+2 vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
(iii) ANM training i.e. 10+1 1/2 years training should also have passed +2or its equivalent examination. (iv) Students shall be medically fit (v) In addition to the above ,admission procedure can be laid down by State Nursing Council. Examination Boards (S.I.B.E. ,M.I.B. , C.M.A.I.)

B.Sc. Nursing -4 years Programme Admission Criteria
Eligibility:
(i) The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before the day of admission. (ii) The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course) Or Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) , predegree Examination (10+2) Or An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or University with Science( Physics, Chemistry , Biology) and English with minimum 45% aggregate marks (PCBE). (iii) Candidate shall be medically fit. 2. Admission Process : Through PPMET ( Punjab Paramedical Entrance Test) Conducted by Baba Farid University Health Sciences , Faridkot on the basis of merit order of PPMET. 3. Reservation of Seats : As per Punjab Govt. policy
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing [P.B.B.Sc.(N)] -2 years programme Admission Criteria

(1)
Eligibility:
(a) Passed, Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission. And (b) Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course being registered as a nurse with State
Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council with two years experience in any area.
2. Admission Process: As per the merit of GNM ( General Nursing and Midwifery) & Entrance test Conducted by Baba Farid University Health Sciences , Faridkot on the basis of merit order. 3. Reservation of seats : As per Punjab Govt. Policy.
M.Sc. (Nursing) -2 years Admission Criteria
(1) Eligibility
(i) The Minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing/Post
Basic B. Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% Marks. (ii) )The Candidate should have undergone B.Sc. Nursing ,B.Sc. Hons. Nursing /Post Basic Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. (iii) Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing. (iv) Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (v) Candidate shall be medically fit. (vi) The candidate should be Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent certificate with any State Nursing Registration Council. 2. Admission Process: Through Entrance Test (PMNET)Conducted by Baba Farid University Health Sciences , Faridkot on the basis of merit order. 3. Reservation of seats : As per Govt. of Punjab Policy.

Hi-Tech. Computer Lab.

It caters to the computing needs of our students . It has several systems. The centre has Internet connectivity. The computers are upgraded every year to keep up with the latest technology, both in terms of hardware and software.Students are groomed to use a large
assortment of software for their studies and assignments, regardless of the field of work.In a congenial atmosphere, lecturers teach their students the ropes in field of nursing by using computer assissted instruction. This computer laboratory, which is reserved for use by students, is equipped with 20 computers .
Audio Visual Aids Lab.

At Babe ke institute of nursing, we understand that each person is unique. For this reason, we have developed the most extensive options to help you honour a life well lived. Our facilities are state of the art and custom built to assist you in every way possible. The audio-visual room with 50-seat capacity is equipped with overhead projectors, multimedia, Internet access unit, television set, CD/VCD . To make classroom learning more effective and interesting, this special Audio-Visual room has been set up with an LCD Projector and Multimedia facilities to facilitate Lectures, Demonstrations & Seminars etc
Anatomy & Physiology Lab

Anatomy & Physiology encompasses a body of knowledge that is large & complex. Students are provided opportunity of knowing and understanding a multitude of individual structure and functions in real situation. Our lab has been designed in such a way that the students can acquire a taste for knowledge about the wonders of the human body. Concrete experience helps to combat the tendency of abstractness. So we have set up the anatomy lab with full of models, female & male torso, male & female skeletons, loose bones of human being (male& female), pediatric skeleton, charts of all human body system and human organ specimens . They help to illustrate the anatomical view of the human body. Our anatomy lab helps to make learning more meaningful & permanent by providing a concrete basis for conceptual thinking by its contents of Models & Specimens.
Obstetric & Gynecological Nursing Lab

In the world mothers and children constitute a priority group. In sheer numbers they comprise approximately 70% of the population of the developing countries. Nursing care is changing to single room maternity care in which women labors, gives birth and recover in the same room (LDR-LaborDelivery-Recovery) ,(LDRP- Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum) and couplet or mother-baby care. So the nurse must have thorough knowledge about Obstetrics and Gynecology which deals with the pregnancy, delivery and reproductive system diseases and disorder and practical skills for rendering care to the client. Our Obstetric & Gynecology (OBG) lab is furnished with all the advanced and necessary instruments which enhance the practical knowledge & skill of students. Our lab is equipped not only with delivery kits ,delivery table, delivery dummy, obstetrical instruments like different vaginal speculums, outlet & inlet forceps, Vulsellum uterine sound, curettes, Dilatation & Curettage sets, ventose set and ultrasonic Doppler for fetal monitoring, but also with cross sectioning of female & male reproductive system models. various malposition & malpresentations of labor models & charts. Technologic explosion has made the present obstetric knowledge & practice significantly different compared to the past but our OBG lab is equipped & updated along with modern obstetrics.
Pediatric Nursing Lab

Pediatric Nursing caring for children (1-18 Yrs.) has always been challenging but has become increasingly more complex as the 21st Century marches on. The pediatric lab contains models related to congenital anomalies of newborn, newborn incubations models, play materials age wise, pediatric dummies pediatric cots and growth & development charts. The charts give the picture & description of major developmental milestones and characteristics of newborn toddler, preschooler, school-age child, adolescent. Health promotion strategies charts which say about height & Weight sleep, rest , activities, dental health, safety & injury prevention are also placed in the pediatric lab. By providing separate lab for pediatric nursing we try to impart the knowledge of atramautic care which emphasizes the care that minimizes or eliminates physical & psychological distress for children & their families in the health care environment..Our lab helps to develop professional pediatric nurse who takes responsibilities for providing tender loving &holistic health care to the children and families.
Micro Biology & Biochemistry Lab.

Microbiology is the study of Micro organisms and it helps to the nursing students for early identification of diseases by doing various diagnostic measures and thereby prevention of diseases and proper utilization of treatment modalities. The thorough knowledge of Microbiology is essential to every health care worker due to lab diagnostic of infectious diseases, revolution of vaccine production with development of recombinant DNA technology, polymerase chain reaction, nucleic acid probes, radio immuno assay and ELIZA. Biochemistry is perhaps the most fascination subject and it deals with the chemical language of life be it, human, animal, plants or micro organism. The lab is set-up on the basis of educational technique (i.e.) Laboratory Methods in which the term is applied originally to the workroom of the Chemist, a place devoted to the experimental study to testing, analyzing, preparing various chemical materials. To implement the Deweys philosophy of learning by doing in our Micro Biology & Biochemistry lab, we have equipped the lab with all the chemical solutions , microscopes, test tubes, purettes conical flasks, washing brushes and running water facility. We also possess all the slides which show different types of morphology of pathogens for visualization and to acquire acknowledge by the students.
Nutrition Lab.
Food and nutrition are important for human being during health and disease. Our lab is designed to provide the rudimentary student with the knowledge of the fundamentals of nutrition related to the promotion and maintenance of optimal health by stressing the practical application of theoretical knowledge. We have equipped laboratory with all utensils, cookers, cutleries, dining sets & glasses, gas cylinders, gas stoves, washing facilities, refrigerators, micro-wave oven, mixer , grinder and groceries that enriches teaching and demonstrating the student nurses to learn the nutritional requirements and preparation of food according to caloric values. It provides opportunities to the student nurses to get learning experiences in challenging situation at first hand and further to translate theory into practice to develop & apply principles to learn methods of cooking. This lab helps to follow simulated teaching technique where theory & practice can be combined.
Community Health Nursing Lab.

One of the most result oriented disciplines of nursing is the Community Health Nursing. The social, physical and cultural aspects of a community have strident impact on an individuals health status. To meet the needs of such training the Community Health lab is equipped sophistically containing verity of models, community bag, charts etc.
Multipurpose Hall
Babe Ke Institute of Nursing has a grand and well furnished multipurpose hall where various academic, cultural and research oriented activities and programme are organized for bringing excellence in teaching learning process to produce devoted and skilled nurses. The hall is equipped with latest public addressing, LCD projectors, slide projectors and comfortable seats.
Lecture Halls
We have 12 lecture Halls each of 1080 Sq.ft. area, having the capacity of seating for 100 students. All the
classrooms are equipped with green & white boards with inbuilt LCD projection system, facilty to use
smart boards, notice board, Dias and podium for the lecturer , adequate fans for aeration and lights for good illumination. A sincere effort is made to corporate all the norms of infrastructure by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi for the purpose of instructions, their clarification or the explanation of facts,
principles or relationships.
Hostel
We have a well furnished two storey hostel for girls on
campus and outside the campus for boys with all the modern facilities purified water supply, generator, geysers, fans, water coolers and good furniture. The congenial atmosphere here provides students a home away from home. All the students live on campus and up to 3 students live in a room. Quite often lifelong friendships blossom here, transcending the divisions in society. Each Hostel is under the care of a warden, assisted by resident young faculty. They are available for consultation &counselling whenever needed Medical facilities are available 24 x 7 for students on call.

A fleet of comfortable and safe buses ferries our students and staff from all over the city to our college. These buses ply on different routes such as Moga , Jagroan & Nehal singh wala. This facility ensures that the students reach college well in time. Apart from the college buses, a number of punjab roadways buses are also available with a bus stop next to the college main gate.

Faculty room for Nursing Tutors, who are qualified for teaching to A.N.M., G.N.M.,B. Sc.(N), Post Basic B.Sc.(N), has been furnished with requisit facilities where members of the faculties discuss on curriculum transaction and curriculum development. The quality of our facultys substantive teaching methodology includes a balance treatment of theory and application which enhances nurses ability to meet the challenges confronting the profession and addresses strategies for promoting the health of the people. The Faculty Room is a space for faculty and administrators at our institute to learn about how to create classroom environments and academic activities that maximize the learning of all students. The faculty room is specially designed for giving the teachers the required privacy and space. It has 4 computers with internet connection. It accommodates 30 teachers.

we encourage our students to indulge in sports activities like Cricket, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Badminton etc. BKIN also organizes sports events on regular basis. In order to develop lasting sports culture among the students, The students of BKIN also participate in various inter-college, inter-university level sports meets. Games and sports have been one of the important foci of BKIN in its endeavor to facilitate all-round development of students' physical and mental abilities. The Institute has excellent sports facilities comprising indoor & outdoor games such as badminton, cricket etc.

Cultural activities
BKIN organises a wide range of cultural activities
throughout the year. It has a full calendar of cultural events in which every student is encouraged to participate actively .These include Holi Festival, teachers day, College Day, Christmas festival, New year festival and Festival. To hone the talents of the students, the college conducts a number of cultural competitions including singing, dancing, debates and creative writing regularly under the Talent Search Programme. Our students participate in all inter college competitions.
