Tells you that Your flying on standard pressure setting In millibars. The Blue represents the sky. The Brown represents the earth.

There are two ways of flying the Airbus. In managed mode or in Selected Mode. Selected mode means exactly that. The pilot has control, he can do what he wants in reason, height, vertical speed, whatever he wishes, he has control. Managed Mode. We can have managed navigation, managed speed and managed thrust as well. Managed means that the computer has decided the optimum speed for the route and will change the blue triangle to a momentum triangle, and that becomes the managed target. So once its a momentum, the aircraft is flying the speed of the particular altitude thats most correct at optimum form for the economy, bearing in mind fuel costs as well.

True Airspeed.

Shows the aircraft is flying in a true heading.

The next waypoint the aircraft is heading to that was Entered into the FMS.

Ground Speed. Wind Heading. Wind Speed.

Shows the true track of 268 degrees.

The mileage is 76nm To the next waypoint.

Another aircraft which is about 2000ft above. ETA to that next waypoint. Doesnt display anything because Your not in range of any navigational beacons. The next waypoint The aircraft is heading to. Representation of the aircraft.

Green line is the track the aircraft will follow which was created by the route Entered by the pilot in the FMS.

True Heading is a mode the pilots can use for crossing the Atlantic which has many advantages especially when flying in the higher latitude if the track was Taking the route over Iceland or Greenland with the enormous magnetic reaction that Takes place.
True North = Relates to the axis on which the Earth spins Magnetic North is in a different place = The magnetic North Pole, this moves around from year to year. Wherever you are on the Earth, there will be a difference between your heading to the true and magnetic North. This difference can vary between 0 and 180 degrees, depending upon where you are. The difference is called Magnetic Variation - you will find this variation stated on Navigation Charts, together with the date it was measured (as it will vary over time as the Magnetic Pole moves). If the variation is to the West, you subtract it from your Magnetic heading to calculate the True Heading. If the variation is to the East, you ADD it to your Magnetic heading. Remember this Rhyme Variation West, Magnetic best (bigger than true heading) Variation East, magnetic least (lower than True heading)
