Example of the Essay

Some people says that it is better to work at our home country than to work in another country, even though it is hard to get jobs. I do not agree with that opinion and I want to mention my experience of working in Korea. I came to Korea at 2009 and started working in a textile company in Ansan. Ansan is one of a big industrial city in Korea. There are around 300 employees working in the company. My specific job is operating a textile machine to produce jeans and trousers. Every day, I work from 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 pm. The employee has free time on Sunday. The boss, called Sajangnim, leads and controls our jobs every day. He is very kind, although he will be angry if we make mistakes many times. Although my job in Korea is quite tiring, but I feels some benefits working here. I get high salary, discipline environment and work with high technology equipments. Beyond that, I can have wider point of view because I can interact with other people from other countries, like China, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. They work very hard and I learn many things from them. To sum up, I think that although It is hard to work far from Indonesia, working in Korea gives me many benefits. Hopefully, I can contribute to my family and my society in Indonesia using my capital

Grammar parallelism

Means keeping the part of a sentence grammatically the same when they are joined by correlative conjuction. Parallelism is technique of balancing like with like, nouns with nouns, verb with verbs

Example

The Indonesian, the Malaysian, and the Philippines have the same Malay root (nouns) She is smart, beautiful, and kind (adjective) He sits, eats, drinks, and sleeps (verbs) He speaks clearly, confidently, and quickly (advervb) I like cycling, climbing, and reading (gerund)

Consistent tense

Use the same verb tense in a sentence or a whole paragraph Do not shift from one tense to another For example from simple present to past tense Example:

cooked for me last night and leave right after (Wrong) She cooked for me last night and left right after (Right)
