Aim: To identify the effective treatment for LBP patients between electrotherapy treatments and manual therapy treatments Objective: 1. To explain the reasons of physiotherapy always use electrotherapy treatments in hospital for back pain (LBP) patients. 2. To improve physiotherapy treatment for LBP patients 3. To determine the influence between both interventions towards LBP patients.

 LBP is popular among people in Malaysia but they do

not get the effective treatment to reduce pain from physiotherapy.

intervention toward LBP patients H: Manual therapy treatment are the effectives treatment to reduce pain among LBP patients

 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT)

RCT have become an accepted way to determined

whether an intervention has a significant effect on subjects who receive the treatment compared to those who received no treatment or sham treatment. (Portney, 2009) Procedures are controlled to ensure that all participants in all study groups are treated the same except for the factor that is unique to their group. The unique factor is the type of intervention they receive.(Spring, 2007)

 Simple Random Sampling

The researcher would placed each participants name

into a container and blindly draw into 3 groups. There are 3 group:
Manual therapy + exercise

Electrotherapy + exercise
Exercise only (controlled group)

 Method of data collection:

VAS To identify whether the pain had reduced among patients.
QUESTIONNAIRE To determine the quality of functional activities among patients after each interventions.
